Grief is a Long Tunnel — A Caregiver’s Poem

Grief is a long tunnel.

Mourning the future that is to come.

Mourning the future that could have been.

Trying to live with death.

Grief is a long tunnel. I don’t know where it ends. I don’t know if I want it to.

Can’t go back. There is only forward.

Look for the beauty. Look for the moments that make life worth living. Despite the shadow of grief.
