2022’s Midterm election is now over. In 2 years, there will be a Presidential election in the United States. Between now and then, there will be various elections at the state and local levels. (These races may impact your life more directly than the federal races!)

Wondering how to get involved in these races? It can be really rewarding to play a role in the outcome of elections. You can spend just a few minutes or as many hours as you can spare. Anything can make a difference and help create a world that aligns with your values.

Donate

This is as easy as it gets, if you have any cash to spare. You can give money directly to any candidate, from a school board candidate to a presidential candidate.

Note: you must be a US citizen to donate to a political candidate. Even if you are a legal resident and want a say in your child’s school board.

Rather than donating directly to a candidate, another way to give money to influence election outcomes is to give to a nonprofit organization that works in this space. (This option is available to you even if you are not a US citizen.)
